There are approximately 6.1 million Jews that make up the population of Israel. This represents roughly 75% of the total population of the nation. The remaining 21% are Arab, and those identified as “others” such as non-Arab Christians, Baha’i, etc, make up about another four percent.
Comparatively, the entire state of New Jersey has roughly the same number of inhabitants as the entire nation of Israel.
Geographically, Israel and New Jersey (which happens to be the 5th smallest U.S. state) are of similar size.
