AAN Begins $2.6 Million Ad Blitz To Thank Congress For Fighting For A Quality, Affordable Health Care Plan

Advertising on TV, digital, print, & mail in 41 congressional districts

WASHINGTON – The American Action Network (@AAN) today announced a $2.6 million issue advocacy campaign in 41 congressional districts nationwide, urging Congress to replace the Affordable Care Act with a quality, affordable health care plan. Over the next two weeks, cable TV ads, digital ads, print ads and direct mail will blanket districts across the country, highlighting the failures of the current healthcare system and Congress’ plans to repeal and replace the law. See the full list of districts and activity here.

“The current healthcare system does not work and has hurt millions of Americans. It’s time for a healthcare system that works,” said Corry Bliss, AAN Executive Director. “Americans should know that Congress has a plan for patient-centered health care and their Member of Congress is a key voice in this fight. We urge constituents across the country to tell Congress they support the plan that provides access to quality, affordable health care of their choice.”

This campaign expands on AAN’s previously announced $1.5 million TV and digital campaigns advertising a patient-centered, affordable health care plan. With the launch of this latest ad campaign, AAN’s message will be on the airwaves for a month across key congressional districts. Since the Affordable Care Act became law in 2010, AAN has been a significant advocate for repealing and replacing it with patient-centered reforms.

Americans can take action by calling Congress and sending them a message via RepealReplaceACANow.org.

ANNCR: Remember the promises of the Affordable Care Act?  Well, they were broken.

You can’t keep your health care plan or your doctor.

And, with skyrocketing premiums, trillions in new taxes and decreased access to quality coverage,

American families and businesses have few good choices.

They know it’s time for a change.  So does Congresswoman Barbara Comstock.

Thank her for fighting for a quality, affordable health care plan.

Urge her to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act now.
