AAN Statement on the American Health Care Act

WASHINGTON American Action Network (@AAN) Executive Director Corry Bliss issued the following statement on the introduction of the American Health Care Act:

“From skyrocketing premiums to fewer choices and canceled plans, Obamacare has failed. After seven years of unfulfilled promises, Americans demand and deserve relief. Earlier this year, our first campaign asked Americans across the country to imagine a new path forward with health insurance that provided more choices and better care at lower costs, while protecting those with pre-existing conditions. That’s exactly what House Republicans have introduced today with the American Health Care Act. We applaud this important step but know the job is far from done. As the legislative process continues, we too will continue with our efforts – aggressively advocating for quality, affordable health care for all.”

In 2017, AAN has spent nearly $8 million on efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act in more than 75 congressional districts nationwide.
