AAN Launches Paid Advocacy Encouraging Congressman Runyan to Keep Fighting Obamacare By Voting for Repeal This Week
$1.2 Million National Initiative; Repeal Obamacare Act Opportunity to Stop Healthcare Tax & Help our Healthcare System
WASHINGTON – The American Action Network today announced an issue advocacy campaign urging Congressman Jon Runyan (NJ-03) to continue fighting to repeal Obamacare and its massive taxes by voting for the Repeal Obamacare Act later this week. This $1.2 million national initiative includes direct mail, print advertising, and robocalls in 35 districts, as well as web videos encouraging select liberal members to repeal the healthcare tax.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to vote on The Repeal Obamacare Act this Wednesday. Additionally, AAN & Crossroads GPS are hosting an event tomorrow, Obamacare: Then and Now, featuring health policy experts and members of House & Senate GOP leadership.
“Obamacare is an anchor for Americans that will result in more expensive care, delayed or denied care, more debt for future generations, and massive taxes on people that can least afford it,” said American Action Network President Brian Walsh. “The Supreme Court confirmed what liberals have been denying all along: this law is a massive tax. The American Action Network encourages Congressman Runyan to continue boldly fighting to repeal this disastrous law, making way for sensible reforms that actually address the challenges facing America’s healthcare system.”
Text from the mail piece:
“The Supreme Court has upheld Obamacare. Congress has only one option: Repeal the President’s government takeover of your healthcare. In addition to billions in new taxes, Obamacare also includes over $500 billion in cuts to Medicare. If the Obama government takeover of healthcare is not repealed, seniors across America will suffer.”
The American Action Network is a 501(c)(4) ‘action tank’ that creates, encourages and promotes center-right policies based on the principles of freedom, limited government, American exceptionalism, and strong national security. The American Action Network’s primary goal is to put our center-right ideas into action by engaging the hearts and minds of the American people and spurring them into active participation in our democracy.
