American Action Network To Spend $1.7 Million Against Liberal Candidates in MI-01, MI-07, & MI-08
Independent Expenditure Includes TV and Digital Advertising
WASHINGTON – Today, the American Action Network (@AAN), announced plans to spend $1.7 million in three congressional races in Michigan. The independent expenditures will include TV and digital advertising in the following districts.
- MI-01: $650,000 against liberal Lon Johnson. Campaign includes broadcast and cable TV and digital advertising in Traverse City and Marquette media markets the last two weeks of October.
- MI-07: $350,000 against liberal Gretchen Driskell. Campaign includes TV and digital advertising in the Lansing media market within the final two weeks of the election.
- MI-08: $700,000 against liberal Suzanna Shkreli. Campaign includes TV and digital advertising in the Detroit and Lansing media markets within the final two weeks of the election.
“Liberals will have no place to hide from their embrace of the failed Obama-Clinton agenda,” said Ruth Guerra, AAN spokeswoman. “Michigan voters need to look no further than the dangerous Iran deal or the unraveling Obamacare law to know that liberal policies makes us less safe and less prosperous.”
This spending announcement kicks off AAN’s TV advertising for the 2016 general election cycle with $3.5 million across seven congressional districts nationwide. AAN and its sister organization, Congressional Leadership Fund, are currently spending a combined $33 million in 29 House district across the country. AAN and CLF remain the single largest outside conservative spenders on the U.S. House.
