AAN Launches First $2 Million Ad Blitz to Thank Lawmakers for Keeping Health Care Promise
Two-week advertising campaign in 21 congressional districts nationwide WASHINGTON – Immediately following passage of the American Health Care Act (AHCA), American Action Network (@AAN) announced its first $2 million TV advertising blitz to thank members of Congress who kept their promise and stood with President Trump and Speaker Ryan by voting for the AHCA. Over the next two weeks, TV ads will blanket 21 congressional districts nationwide highlighting key elements of the AHCA, including lowering costs and protecting people with pre-existing conditions. View the list of districts here. “This is a critical time for Americans to learn the truth about the new health care bill. That’s why AAN is launching the first of several targeted campaigns that will share the real benefits of the AHCA to American families across the country,” said Corry Bliss, AAN Executive Director. “AHCA will lower costs, provide more choices, and protect people with pre-existing conditions. AAN will continue to do its part to take that message to the American people. Conservatives applaud President Trump and Speaker Ryan’s strong leadership to ensure conservative lawmakers kept a long-held promise and delivered historic reforms.” AAN was the biggest spender in promoting the AHCA and patient-centered reforms, spending over $10 million with 13 unique advertising campaigns in over 110 congressional districts nationwide. Advertising efforts included TV, digital, mail, radio, robocalls, mobile billboards, and print. Since the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010, AAN has been a vocal supporter of efforts to repeal and replace the law.
