AAN Releases Virginia Obamacare/Medicare Advantage Poll

WASHINGTON – American Action Network (@AAN) today released a statewide poll of Virginians’ views on Obamacare and Medicare Advantage. You can see the key findings summarized in the memo below, followed by the statewide polling results conducted by Harper Polling.

A majority of Virginians polled had a strongly negative view of Obamacare, which includes $308 Billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage. This month, the Obama Administration is expected to announce the 2014 round of cuts to Medicare Advantage, potentially diminishing benefits for the popular privately-administered Medicare program.

“While there’s no shortage of emerging issues with the health care law, one that’s flown largely under the radar is the Administration’s pending release of new cuts to Medicare Advantage,” said Emily Davis, spokeswoman for American Action Network. “Polling in bellwether Virginia shows how these cuts will play: like a lead balloon. Obamacare’s supporters in Congress should take note regarding just how toxic another wave of cuts to seniors would be.”
