Media Advisory: The U.S. Trade Agenda: 2012 and Beyond
Washington – The American Action Forum will host a discussion on the future of U.S. trade policy on Thursday October 20, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building. Lunch will be provided.
With the passage of the Panama, Columbia, and South Korea Free Trade Agreements it is a propitious time to ask what the next goals of the Administration and Congress should be in this realm. Should we focus on bilateral or multilateral agreements? Can the Doha Round be resurrected? Should our trade focus be on Asia or elsewhere? Would expanding free trade contribute to economic growth or detract from it?
