New AAN IL-10 Poll Shows Margin-of-Error Race In Brad Schneider, Bob Dold Rematch

The Network is chaired by former Senator Norm Coleman (MN) and its board includes Fred Malek, former Congressman Tom Reynolds (NY), and former Congressman Vin Weber (MN).WASHINGTON – Today, the American Action Network (@AAN) released polling results and a corresponding memo of a new poll in the Illinois 10th Congressional District race between current Congressman Brad Schneider (D) and former Congressman Bob Dold (R). The Harper Polling IVR (auto-dial) survey of likely voters found a very competitive rematch. The survey was conducted from June 24-25, 2014, and the margin of error is +/-4.9%.

Among the key findings of the survey:

• This is a Margin-of-Error Race (Dold Leads Schneider 42-39%) and Schneider Has Low Incumbent Approval (28% Job Approval)

• Political Party Brand Challenges Reflected in Obama, Quinn and Pelosi Numbers

• Obamacare’s Medicare Advantage Cuts and Schneider’s Business/Tax Record Are Large Concerns to Voters
