NEWS RELEASE: COLEMAN: OBAMA OUTBURST ON NETANYAHU “IMMATURE, EMOTIONAL”

WASHINGTON – American Action Network Chairman Norm Coleman today issued the following statement in reaction to President Barack Obama’s comments on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

“President Obama's immature, emotional outburst not only undermines his credibility as a leader, but our nation's commitment to the people of Israel,” said former United States Senator Norm Coleman. “This is the kind of whispering gossip one might expect from kids on a playground, not the President of the United States of America. Our nation, along with our ally, Israel, is under direct threat from Iran and its leaders.  American military personnel have been targets of the Iranian regime — Israel is in the crosshairs of Iran's nuclear weapons aspirations — and President Barack Obama voices his shrill irritation that he has to work with the elected leadership of Israel. The President's failed leadership in supporting Israel has long been known.  But, he's now voiced his opinion of Israel to the rest of the world, and has given even greater confidence to Israel's enemies that Barack Obama is not committed to the defense and support of our nation's most important ally in the region.”
