She’s actually doing it

Rita Hart is making it official today and will formally file the paperwork to ask House Speaker Pelosi to overturn the state-certified results of her failed election to seat her instead of Mariannette Miller-Meeks, who voters elected.

The move is opposed by 7-in-10 constituents of her district and would make a majority IA-02 residents believe Hart is an “illegitimate” Congresswoman. Not to mention, this move has been condemned by nearly every newspaper in Iowa.

Hard to believe that they’re actually going through with this.

“Rita Hart’s decision to bypass Iowa courts and ask Nancy Pelosi to hand her a seat in Congress is shameful and as antithetical to democracy as it gets,” said AAN Communications Director Calvin Moore. “Hart’s choice today will backfire and is unlikely to be forgiven by folks back home anytime soon.”
