Over 40 Leading Conservative And Tax Policy Organizations Voice Support For The Tax Cuts And Jobs Act
MCGI-led coalition letter applauds House tax reform bill as “a victory for the middle class”
WASHINGTON – As the House Ways and Means Committee concludes its tax reform bill markup, today, American Action Network’s Middle-Class Growth Initiative (MCGI) released a coalition letter of over 40 leading conservative and tax policy organizations supporting the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. In the letter, the MCGI-led coalition applauded the bill as “a victory for the middle class” and noted the urgency of passing tax reform legislation to support working families.
A personalized copy of the letter, the third released through AAN’s Middle-Class Growth Initiative project, will be delivered to the offices of every member of the House of Representatives.
“Middle-class families have demanded an end to crushing tax burdens, stagnant wages, and limited job opportunities, and Congress is listening,” said AAN Executive Director Corry Bliss. “The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act promises real relief, with a $1,200 tax cut for middle-class families. The simpler, fairer, more competitive tax code laid out in the bill will raise wages, increase take-home pay, and give working families greater peace of mind. We’re sending a clear message of support to members of Congress: as you work to pass this critical legislation, these organizations, and working families across America, stand with you.”
