AAN Launches $225,000 Campaign in NY-01 Primary Against ‘Pelosi Republican’ George Demos

WASHINGTON – Today the American Action Network released an ad “California Cash” in the NY-01 primary, shedding light on “Pelosi Republican” George Demos whose campaign has relied on fundraising from prominent California liberals deeply supportive of Nancy Pelosi and President Obama. NY-01 is currently represented by ethics-plagued Congressman Tim Bishop and Demos faces Army reservist and center-right rising star Lee Zeldin in the June 24th primary. AAN’s $225,000 independent expenditure campaign includes a cable television buy running through primary election day, as well as forthcoming digital advertising and mail.
