American Action Network Applauds Passage Of Tax Cuts And Jobs Act
Passage critical step toward much-needed relief and tax cut for middle-class families
WASHINGTON – American Action Network (@AAN) Executive Director Corry Bliss released the following statement following the House passage of The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:
“Congress has taken a critical step toward delivering much-needed relief and a $1,200 tax cut for middle-class families. Hardworking Americans are tired of living paycheck-to-paycheck, and American businesses have been falling behind for long enough. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will bring the lower rates, more jobs, and economic growth that America’s families deserve. We commend President Trump and Speaker Ryan for their steadfast leadership and commitment to meaningful, pro-growth tax reform.
“AAN is proud of its role in uniting conservatives behind a winning message in support of tax reform. AAN has spent $20 million on efforts promoting tax reform since August, and we are committed to continuing to share the merits of Congress’ tax plan with the American people. We urge Congress to work swiftly to ensure they keep the promise they made to families across the country, and make a simpler, fairer tax code become reality.”
AAN has been the leading outside group advocating for the House passage of tax reform legislation, spending $20 million since August. On August 1, AAN launched the Middle-Class Growth Initiative, dedicated to the passage of tax reform that results in a simpler, fairer, and pro-growth tax code. The Initiative has included an aggressive advertising effort across numerous platforms including television, digital, radio and direct mail, targeted to over 60 key congressional districts nationwide.
