American Action Network Promotes Tax Reform Framework With One Million Robocalls Nationwide
Calls highlight a $1,200 tax cut for middle-class families among the merits of the plan
WASHINGTON – As the tax reform debate continues to unfold, American Action Network’s Middle-Class Growth Initiative (MCGI) today launched a one million robocall campaign targeting constituents in 45 congressional districts nationwide. The call highlights the merits of the Tax Reform Framework, including a new analysis that finds middle-class families would see a tax cut of more than $1,200 a year under the plan. “Hard-working families across the country are suffering under our outdated and unfair tax code. However, relief from those burdens is on the way thanks to a bold plan put forward by the White House and congressional leaders. The Tax Reform Framework lowers rates, simplifies the tax code and puts over $1,200 in the pockets of middle-class families,” said AAN Executive Director Corry Bliss. “Congress must act with urgency and deliver tax reform for America’s middle class.”
The Middle-Class Growth Initiative is a project of American Action Network that launched to advocate for the passage of meaningful tax reform legislation. The multi-pronged campaign, now totaling over $8 million, has included advertising on television, radio, direct mail and mobile billboards in over 40 congressional districts nationwide.
